They are a leading player in the media industry, renowned for their innovation and creativity in delivering compelling content.As the Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence within the organisation.Duties & Responsibilities:Support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Develop the group-level balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to external borrowings, and ensure their accuracy and completeness.Assist in the production of the monthly Group consolidation, working closely with other finance team members to gather and validate financial information.Contribute to various ad hoc financial reporting projects as and when required, providing support and analysis to facilitate decision-making processes.Support the management of the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing audit queries.Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial data and ensure data integrity.Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.Candidate Requirements:Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA and appreciation of general accountingExperience in group accounting functionStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
