Now that’s a graze idea . what you’ll be responsible for ● Managing improvement projects from initial problem statements through to sustained and proven actions. ● Always working to the highest safety standards. Identifying hazards and making improvements to equipment safety, as well as conducting regular audits and safety behavioural observations as part of your role● Delivering projects on time, to a high quality and with good consideration to value for any investment recommendations. ● Improving the efficiency and performance of existing designs, machinery, equipment, systems, and products. ● Cross functional working with other Graze functions as well as your own engineering team to develop & implement opportunities that improve Safety, Quality, OEE and costs. ● Providing engineering advice and support to key stakeholders. your day-to-day tasks. .. ● Analysing key metrics from the wealth of captured production data to understand trends and translating them into improvement opportunities (problem statements).● Creating and utilising tools to investigate causes of the problems e.g. RCA, 5WHY, 5S, DMAIC● Testing/iterating improvements to machinery equipment set up to achieve fast paced solutions.● Implementing processes and standards improvements and ensuring that measures to increase compliance are in place.● Formalise the sustaining of solutions through analysing and sharing of results achieved, highlighting what underpins the successes.● Identify and create value-based proposals for modifications to deliver further improvements.● Drive the implementation of pursued modifications through working effectively with other teams and suppliers.● Establishing and building great working relationships with current and future suppliers.● Continually review the improvement processes and work with colleagues to change ways of working to leverage better results. what we’re looking for in you ● A strong working knowledge of the requirements of Health & Safety within engineering including Risk Assessment and LOTO. ● Proven experience within an engineering department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ● Inquisitive nature with a huge interest in how things works with proven excellent problem solving skills. ● Experiencing working with continuous improvement techniques - RCA, 5WHY, 5S, DMAIC ● Have formal Engineering qualifications, either having completed a recognised apprenticeship or degree ● Experience of fault finding and repair of electrical and pneumatic circuits and components and additionally experience with PLC software development and/or debugging. ● Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. ● Able to communicate effectively with the engineering, operations, and quality teams. ● Experience of Microsoft Office ● Excited about taking on new challenges. ● Experience working to tight timelines. ● Be a fast learning, self-starter with great attention to detail. what we’ll expect in your first 6 months ● A proactive approach to establishing an understanding of the manufacturing processes on site, and the key elements that you can impact. Familiarise and immerse yourself with the manufacturing process and packing lines operation. ● Analyse production line loss analysis and use problem solving techniques to identify root causes of these losses on an allocated line. ● Develop and implement permanent fixes to the identified root causes. ● We expect you to prioritize safety and quality improvements initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring the highest standards are upheld throughout our engineering processes. ● We expect you to identifying opportunities to enhance safety protocols and implement quality control measures to optimize our operations and deliver superior products to our customers. ● Review and provide documented recommendations for potential site efficiency opportunities.
