Free parking is available throughout the site. Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with stroke patients, individuals with neurodegenerative conditions, and head injuries. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in alternative and augmentative communication AAC to enhance the quality of life for our patients.Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for adults with acquired communication disorders, dysphagia, and related conditions. - Utilize high-level expertise in the interpretation of cognitive neuropsychology, including the PALPA model, to inform assessment and treatment strategies. - Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and make complex ethical decisions. - Provide training and supervision to speech and language therapy students, as well as rehabilitation assistants or support staff. - Demonstrate proficiency in the use of electronic communication aids and Microsoft Office software. - Liaise effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related field. - Current licensure or registration with relevant professional bodies. - Minimum of insert number years of experience working with stroke patients, individuals with neurodegenerative conditions, and head injuries. - Extensive experience in the assessment, treatment, and management of adults with acquired communication disorders and dysphagia. - Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software. - Detailed knowledge of a range of electronic communication aids/systems. - Proven ability to make complex ethical decisions within a multidisciplinary team setting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.Benefits: - Four weekly payroll runs - £250 training allowance - Excellent pay rates - Exceptional referral bonuses - Specialists mental health consultants offering single point of contact - Frequent notifications for upcoming opportunities via text and email - Ltd & PAYE payment options available - Nationwide provider of mental health staff to over 40 different NHS trusts offering mental health services and over 200 local authorities. - FREE DBS disclosures provided via fast track online services - FREE Occupational Health Check and ImmunisationsAre you happy with your current agency At SCS, we believe in rewarding your loyalty and hard work - £150 Agency Switch Bonus - If you're unhappy with your current agency or simply fancy a change, Service Care Solutions will give you £150 for bringing your current contract to us. - £250 Welcome Bonus - We are offering a Welcome Bonus of £250, paid after completion of two weeks in your new placement. - Refer a Friend Earn up to £750 per Referral - Simply refer your friend.
