The role would suit a debt recovery candidate, who can confidently run a caseload of contested commercial debt recovery matters from the point of defence through to trial.Our client, a leading law firm in the heart of Leeds, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Debt Litigator to join their commercial litigation team. The role would suit a debt recovery candidate, who can confidently run a caseload of contested commercial debt recovery matters from the point of defence through to trial. Responsibilities: Handling your own caseload of litigated commercial debt recovery cases from the point of defence through to trial and/ or settlement.Corresponding with clients, debtors and third parties.Responding to defences and counterclaims.Drafting of witness statements and completing trial bundles.Preparing cases for trial and drafting instructions to counsel.Adhering to court direction.Negotiating settlement.Dealing with post judgment formalities. Requirements: Upwards of 4 years’ experience handling a caseload of defended commercial debt recovery cases, candidates with defended consumer debt litigation experience are still encouraged to apply.
