Our commitment to our patients is in the quality of our care, the range of our services and the quality of our consultants and staff To be considered for this position you must be qualified as Registered Nurse with an active NMC Pin or a Registered ODP with a HCPC Registration As an Anaesthetic Practitioner your key responsibilities include: Contributes to the development and evaluation of practiceAct as mentor to unqualified support staff and pre registration studentsParticipates in the planning and delivery of care during the perioperative periodEnsure all anaesthetic equipment is checked and available prior to start of listParticipate in the Team briefing prior to the list commencingRecognize the workload of colleagues and provide support as necessaryEnsure consumables are replaced at the end of listEnsure compliance with departmental policies and proceduresHave regard for the resource implications of decisionsDemonstrate commitment to develop own critical analytical skillsMaintain a professional portfolioDemonstrate an ability to organize and plan own work and that of othersCoordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient pathway The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Significant post registration skills in the anaesthetic areaAbility to act as a preceptor to newly qualified staffTo monitor and care for the sedated patients during proceduresThe ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibility in both written and spoken EnglishKnowledge of patient confidentialityThe ability to produce legible notesMotivated and Enthusiastic The successful Anaesthetic Practitioner will receive an excellent salary £30,871- £40,804.94 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
