This stunning 73-bedded luxury home opened its doors in January 2020 and offers its residents state-of-the-art facilities unrivalled in the area, to include a coffee shop/bistro, hair & nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas, activities room and landscaped gardens, whilst at the same time providing exceptional standards of care supported by the very latest care planning and nurse-call technology. We are recruiting a wide range of skill sets to enhance the care we give to our residents, and as a forward-thinking team with so many exciting things coming ahead, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to be part of this ongoing journey. As a 2nd Chef at our home, your role may involve: Undertaking any necessary training Supporting the Chef/Cook and the rest of the catering team with providing fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch to our residents Maintaining a hygienic and compliant working environment Delivering the highest possible culinary standards to residents by providing nutritious, well-balanced and appetising meals from a clean, safe and hygienic environment Submitting food orders Supporting with all the day to day aspects of the catering operation Compliance with quality and safety standards Sandstone employees enjoy a range of benefits: Free uniform. What are we looking for? Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment. A passion for producing fresh, home cooked food, from scratch to the highest standards. Friendly and enthusiastic disposition, ability to integrate well with others. Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads.
