1 st Line Junior IT Engineer Following an internal promotion, Aerial Direct are looking for a 1st Line Junior IT Engineer to join our busy IT Support team . Reporting into our Information Security & Networks Director, you will be the first point of contact for our inhouse users, providing technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Based in our newly refurbished Fareham offices, t he role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and a dedication to delivering excellent customer service. Company pension scheme You’ll Get Involved In: Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support staff when necessary. User Assistance: Assist end-users with account setup, equipment. password resets, and access issues. Educate users on basic IT procedures and best practices. Incident Management: Log and track support incidents using the helpdesk ticketing system. Ensure timely resolution of incidents and keep users informed of progress. Hardware and Software Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Install, configure, and update software applications. Remote Support: Provide remote assistance to off-site users, resolving issues through phone or remote desktop tools. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support procedures, solutions, and configurations. Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements to IT systems and processes. Communicate effectively with second-line support and other technical teams. Enforce a security first culture by leading by example. Ideally, you’ll have experience of: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications. Familiarity with basic networking concepts. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service and communication skills. It would be great if you have: Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a helpdesk or service desk environment. Who are we?
