They predominately provide data centre services across the UK to a range of different clients across banking, retail and legal. Services include DC migrations, support, auditing, DC rollout/refresh/deployment etc. Field Data Centre Engineer – Chelmsford Service Provider seeking a Data Centre Engineer to join a small, yet well-established technical team. They predominately provide data centre services across the UK to a range of different clients across banking, retail and legal. Services include DC migrations, support, auditing, DC rollout/refresh/deployment etc. Duties include;• Lifecycle support: Equipment & connectivity auditing, install, moves & changes,• Relocation, decommissioning & disposal, patching, troubleshooting• Managed data centre cervices - Data centre migration, capacity management,• Rollout & deployment• Infrastructure - structured cabling, rack deployment & aisle containment, wireless Requirements:• Previous experience working within data centre environments• Experience of hardware, cable and connection auditing.• Proven record of IT support/breakfix hardware/cabling/cable troubleshooting.• Practical, hands on, individual as this is a field based skilled role• Good communicator both written and verbally• Recent experience of copper and fibre structured cabling in data centre and commercial• environment would be advantageous• Possess a Full clean UK driving licence. Salary £35,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits
