We have a great opportunity to work for a very well established and fast growing manufacturer of metal components and sub assemblies selling to OEMs in the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable, oil and gas markets. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to play a major part in their six year plan to grow the business by 150.Genuine prospects if successful, will be to recruit and manage a sales team. Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a senior business development role working to a strategic growth plan to target known key accounts in the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable, oil and gas markets. Targets are very realistic and achievable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager : Engineered Components to OEMS in the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable and oil and gas markets. A A new business development role and account promoting engineering capabilities to OEM and first tier markets across the UK .A You will be selling premium quality, bespoke, ideally added value solutions to clients not just price based commodity components.A They are targeting the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable and oil and gas markets.A A multi level / decision maker sell, often with long lead times. You will need to be credible and able to present at a high level but with the tenacity to get in front of people and present to senior engineering and procurement / buying decision makers as potential customers. Ideally at design:in stage, and follow up to make sure the business is secured and then developed.A Significant growth has already been achieved without a totally dedicated new business function so they know their is huge potential for growth with this new appointment. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager : Engineered Components to OEMs in the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable, oil and gas markets. To be considered for this potentially very financially rewarding role you will:A Have a proven track record selling components to OEMs, preferably with some relevant market and / or product experience. Ideally this will be a premium quality, preferably bespoke engineered solution.A Be able to generate new business, be strategic and credible with business acumen. Have excellent presentation skills, but with the drive and tenacity to get in front of decision makers, follow up and secure and then develop business.A Have a solid mechanical and / or production engineering background and/or qualifications. THE COMPANY: Established for over 40 years my client is privately owned, profitable and debt free, with an A GBP 8 million turnover and 60 staff. The present Managing Director took over three years ago and has grown the business significantly since with plans to further grow the business organically and by acquisition by 150 in the next 6 years.They manufacture and supply a wide range of engineered and fabricated metal components and sub systems to OEMs and 1st tier suppliers in the aerospace, defence, power generation, renewable and oil and gas markets .
