Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in London. The pay for this position is GBP23:GBP28 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. Main Duties will include:*Working with children with learning disabilities which may include ASD, SEMH, Down Syndrome and ADHD.*Assessment of pupils both informally and formally, to reach an understanding of the students needs and set goals accordingly.*Planning and delivering various different therapeutic approaches according to a students needs. *The provision of therapy on a 1:1, small group and class based basis. *Working in collaboration with other members of the therapy team including the NHS Speech therapist, Occupational therapist and music therapist *Working closely alongside teachers and TAs both within the classroom and out. *Providing training to members of staff as a whole school approach alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).*Attending or contributing towards EHCPS x2003;To undertake this position successfully you will have:*Membership of the Health Professional Council *Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language *Knowledge of specialist education and excellent communication and organizational skills.
