MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL) RENEWABLES SECTOR WORCESTER GBP55,000 + BONUS + BENEFITS Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer. We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If youre a driven and highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of commercial projects, producing design for use in the renewables sector. THE ROLE: * Working in the design team on a range of Design projects, the company designs a range of systems, used for mounting. * Taking a lead on R and D projects. * Responsible for Geotechnical calculations for site specific projects. * Working closely with the sales team, producing quick design where required to enable quotations to be presented to prospects. * Modifying existing products across the range, to ensure efficiency is maintained and they stay ahead of the competition. * Travel to sites where required, this is not a large part of the role and will be fairly rare. THE PERSON: * Experience using a design package such as Revit or Tekla structures. * Knowledge of the Renewables sector. * Experience doing design related calculations. * Ability to design for manufacture and assembly. * Problem solving and trouble shooting ability. * Chartered Structural Engineer (ideally).
