Position Overview: Our Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal to join their team. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's legal operations, particularly in the area of contractor services. This role is well-suited for ex-solicitors or seasoned paralegals who thrive in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Contractor Services Support: Assist with legal documentation related to contractor engagements, including contracts, agreements, and compliance forms. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of contractor paperwork. Maintain records and track contractor assignments. Payroll Coordination: Work closely with the finance and HR departments to manage payroll processes for contractors. Handle payroll queries, discrepancies, and adjustments. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Legal Liaison: Communicate with external solicitors and barristers as needed. Provide legal research and support for ongoing cases or projects. Assist in preparing legal briefs and documentation. Remote Work and Office Visits: This role is primarily remote, allowing you to work from home. Occasional office visits may be required for team meetings, training, or collaboration. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a similar industry. Exposure to multi-company environments and contractor services. Familiarity with payroll processes and legal compliance. Familiarity with tax laws and previous interactions with HMRC. Legal Mindset: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to interpret legal documents and apply relevant laws and regulations. Excellent communication skills for liaising with legal professionals. Qualifications: Paralegal certification or relevant legal qualifications.
