Randstad C and P are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to work for a local, family:run regional contractor based in Bedfordshire The role will be working across a variety of commercial contracts including office refurbishments, education projects and healthcare schemes. Suitable candidate will have experience working for smaller contractors in a similar capacity. The role can offer a strong salary, an exceptional culture joining a close knit team, and autonomy to run multiple projects concurrently with a well established site team. Responsibilities: * Initiate and finalise contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers * Monitor and analyse project expenses meticulously, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints * Establish stringent quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards * Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication channels * Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, meticulously assessing their impact on budget and schedule, and managing change orders accordingly * Develop comprehensive project schedules, efficiently allocating available resources * Conduct thorough risk assessments, proactively identifying potential issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies Requirements: * Strong experience in contract management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of overseeing contracts for various commercial opportunities. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. * Strong organisational and time:management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively. * Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, and relevant legal frameworks, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively. * Strong analytical and problem:solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
