The successful IT Systems Engineer will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining the business systems. You will leverage your problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. Your dedication to exceptional service will ensure IT operations run smoothly and support the continued growth of operations. Key Responsibilities for the IT Systems Engineer: - Maintain the cloud-hosted ERP system, keeping it running smoothly and securely for optimal performance. - Craft insightful queries, reports, and dashboards to empower data-driven business decisions. - Masterfully manage tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders. - Partner with the Cyber & Information Security Analyst to safeguard data integrity and ensure compliance. - Own the lifecycle of cloud-based applications, from configuration and deployment to ongoing maintenance. - Streamline business processes by designing and implementing seamless system integrations. - Boost efficiency by developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools e.g., using scripting languages like Python. - Bridge the gap between us and external vendors, managing cloud solutions procurement, implementation, and support. - Collaborate with business units to uncover their tech needs and deliver effective solutions. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies for easy reference. - Analyse system performance, usage, and issues, generating actionable reports for continuous improvement. Key Skills & Experience for the IT Systems Engineer: Essential - 2+ Years experience in a similar role. - Strong skills in system administration, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically. - Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. - Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers. - Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements. - Experience in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Desirable - Expertise in ERP systems, particularly cloud-hosted solutions. - Exposure to database design. - Proficiency in scripting and automation tools. - ITIL 4 Foundation Qualification.
