We are on the hunt for a Software Engineer to join a well-known client of ours operating in the Telecommunications and Connectivity space. They are in need of a Senior Technical Resource to join their team of engineers to support and manage the ongoing development of solutions to issues across the business.Software Engineer – Greenwich Based – Hybrid – Up-to £65,000 + Bonus and £6,000 Car Allowance We are on the hunt for a Software Engineer to join a well-known client of ours operating in the Telecommunications and Connectivity space. They are in need of a Senior Technical Resource to join their team of engineers to support and manage the ongoing development of solutions to issues across the business. The main focus for this role will be the collaboration of the software, hardware, and validation teams to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and achieve expected functionalities. This is a hybrid role with an expectation that you will be on-site 3 days per week. Role Responsibilities: Participate in the technical choices of architecture and "working groups"Providing estimates of development timescalesWhen necessary, prototyping on target to remove technical uncertainties.Work closely with the hardware team, and validation engineersDesign a software solutions that achieves the expected functionality, within system constraintsPerform tests of on the solutions unit and then pre-integration to test compliance and performance and write reportsSupport the production and commissioning teams in analyzing problems encountered Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Significant experience with C/ C++VxWorks/Linux RtOSEclipse/Visual Studio/MPLABExperience of using communication protocols such as: rs232/424SPICAN BusUSBEthernet Experience of the following would also be beneficial: Development for a custom Electronic Hardware environmentReal Time, mission critical, embedded control systemsMultitask code with inter-task communicationsEmbedded and Web browser graphical interface – Jscript/CSS/HTMLDSP Digital Signal Processing
