Senior Electrical Engineer About The Role We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with an Electrical Design Engineer for our Yorkshire Water venture framework. Based in the Sheffield office with hybrid working available you will ensure that cost effective, technically compliant and buildable solutions are designed, approved. Working closely with the construction teams in line with programme expectations. You will report directly to the Framework Design Manager and your responsibilities will include: Produce Outline and Detailed Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Designs, Production and Checking of all design deliverables including Specifications, URS's, Schedules, Drawings and Calculations, Ensure designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations, Working closely with the all teams to gather all required information, Participate in regular design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop the best solution, Ensure that standard designs and design practices are utilised wherever possible, Delivering the design stage outputs of each project within the agreed timescale and budget,Coordinating design outputs across all technical disciplines, Preparing project status reports where required, Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs,Assist with Project Engineering queries from internal or supplier queriesProvide technical responses to TQ, RFI’s Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety performance, Develop innovative solutions whilst maintaining compliance to current standards Ensuring work is completed to programme, budget, and quality, Key Responsibilities: Degree or equivalent qualificationChartered or near chartered in a construction discipline as appropriate to gradeExperience in the Water treatment IndustryWorking knowledge of CDM and construction Health & SafetyUnderstand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture.Commercial and contractual awareness.Proven influencing and negotiation skills to both internal and external stakeholders.Experience of leading and managing functions where required Your Commitment Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture,Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence, striving to delivering the best,Flexibile, resilient and the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
