Joining their team means you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful change and contribute to their ongoing success.What You Will Be Doing Create innovative mechanical designs for new product development.Utilise SolidWorks to design and develop jigs and fixtures.Effectively communicate design specifications and insights to team members, clients, and partners.Collaborate with contractors and supply chain to ensure adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.Convert engineering concepts into effective mechanical solutions, implementing best practices. Qualifications and Expertise Mechanical Design Experience: Preferably within the fibre optics industry or a related field though not essential.SolidWorks Proficiency: Advanced expertise in SolidWorks, with a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and best practices.Materials and Manufacturing Knowledge: Solid understanding of materials science and experience with injection molding, CNC machining, and 3D printing.Industry Standards: Familiarity with regulations and standards pertaining to fibre optics and telecommunications products.Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical challenges effectively.Simulation Tools: Experience with finite element analysis FEA and other simulation tools is a bonus.3D CAD Expertise: Experience in mechanical design using 3D CAD SolidWorks software.
