Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering TeamAbout The CompanyMy client, a leading and established manufacturing business based in the West Midlands, are currently looking to recruit an experienced and ideally Apprentice trained Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Team. Please Note – It is essential candidates are educated to RQF, NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in a practical Mechanical Engineering discipline. This is a Days Based position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Day to day supervision of a team of approximately 11 Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, covering preventative and reactive maintenanceMentor and train Technicians as and when requiredOrganise and manage, alongside the Maintenance Manager, all planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the highest level of productivity and efficiency of equipmentStrong understanding of CMMS and standard computer software packagesUse and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information used to assist in worksIn depth understanding and experience of working with a wide variety of mechanical equipment including Gearboxes, Pumps, Mechanical Seals, Pipework etc.Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systemsEnsure Health & Safety is adhered to, and all paperwork is completed to correct standards and in line with company policies Candidate Requirements: Educated to a minimum RQF, NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in a Mechanical Fitting / Engineering DisciplineA Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience within an industrial mechanical maintenance environmentGood leadership and communication skillsPrevious experience within Industrial Manufacturing environments is highly desirable, as would experience of process-based, high hazard manufacturingPrevious experience of operating / working within a COMAH registered site would be preferred
