We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Learning Officer , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £20.59 - £26.96 per hour Responsibilities: Create and lead imaginative cross curricular learning programmes for Islingtons primary, special and secondary schools relevant to the National Curriculum Collaborate with colleagues at the Cally Clock Tower Centre to establish a joint and complementary learning programme at both sites Collaborate with the community to co-produce exciting, fun community programmes including family, under 5s activities Develop, promote and deliver a programme of activities for families and for under 5s Develop and maintain internal partnerships that will help to achieve the services programming vision and objectives, including colleagues in adult care, childrens services and Childrens Centres etc. Qualifications : Recognised professional museum or heritage education qualification Experience : Experience of working in a heritage site, museum or similar cultural environment Knowledge of, and commitment to, the educational and wellbeing role of heritage sites and parks, and the awareness of current thinking around this Experience of designing and delivering learning programmes that meet the identified needs of a target audience, such as families, schools,people facing discrimination or social exclusion Experience of collaborating and co-producing learning initiatives with partner organisations and targeted groups to produce new, innovative learning initiatives Experience of managing volunteers and student placements Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
