We are interested in hosting PhD students who have an industry internship as a funded component of their programme for a fully immersed, on-site placement at our office and labs in London.The focus of this internship will be helping to improve the bioinformatics pipelines that are core to the work we do at Bactobio. You'll work with DNA sequencing data and contribute to our code base, with scope to tailor the project to your interests. You will have the opportunity to learn about bioinformatics tools used in microbiology, pipeline development, workflow management and data analysis. Previous experience in any of these areas is a plus, but interest in all is a must! The role would be well suited to someone with the following: Microbiology experience with an interest to learn more about bioinformatics, or vice versa Basic coding and data analysis experience (ideally in python) An interest in exploring life at a biotechnology start-up An industry internship/ placement component as part of a PhD programmer.
