Field Electrical Technician & Field Mechanical Technician required £18.50 per hour plus overtime ratesInitial 6-12 month temporary contract Field based role working in the Thames/London Region Working for a Global Water Technology Company we are looking for both Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to join the South Regions Service Teams.Field Electrical Technician & Field Mechanical Technician required £18.50 per hour plus overtime ratesInitial 6-12 month temporary contract Field based role working in the Thames/London Region Working for a Global Water Technology Company we are looking for both Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to join the South Regions Service Teams. Working as part of the Service team you will be supporting the installation, service and refurbishment of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, wastewater treatment plants and all associated components, including control systems, valves and pipework. This is a field based role working across the Thames and London Region. The successful candidates will have City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in either a mechanical or electrical discipline as a preference. For Electrically biased engineers an AM2 and/or a qualification up to C&G 2391 Test & Inspect or the CSCS Gold card would be essential to be considered. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: Analytical survey of control equipment, both electrical and physical.Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment, including moving parts and lubricants.Examine and report any defects with regards to the valves and pipework.Report any abnormalities.Supply details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement.Install and commission supplied equipment and all associated apparatus.Work as part of a team where health and safety demands.Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.Lifting of access covers, pumping equipment and all associated components from ground level to an approximate depth of 10m using the appropriate tools supplied.Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions on a daily basis. Please note and consider the below before applying: Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions on a daily basis – we all know how the good old British Weather can be – you MUST be used to working outside in all weather conditions.You must be a driver with your own car expenses will be paid for any work mileageHSE is paramount and safety guidelines will always need to be followed. You will be working on sites varying from domestic customers through to large tier 1 contractors and municipal service providers.The role requires you to be flexible, you will be involved in a call out rota and be expected to work overtime when the business needs dictate and this can fall outside of your standard 39hr working week.You must be willing to travel to customers sites in and around London and hole a full UK driving licence etc.
