Job Title: Chief Financial Officer Location: Maldives Package: 12,000 - 14,000 USD per month, plus housing allowance, annual bonus etc. I'm currently supporting a luxury resort management company, based over in the Maldives, with their search for a Chief Financial Officer. The group are one of the long standing pillars within the Maldives hospitality space, and have very much helped transform the Maldives into one of the most sort out travel destinations globally. Their portfolio consists of a number of luxury, award winning properties, and they are now seeking an experienced CFO who can provide strategic leadership, functional guidance and valuable insights to Board of Directors, Operational Leaders and Departments Heads for optimal business decisions for the company and other related subsidiaries. This role will be reporting into the wider Group Managing Director and/or Board of Directors, and we're ideally looking for those who have a wealth of experience operating within the Hospitality industry - those with prior remote/luxury island experience will certainly be preferred. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA are also advantageous. A snapshot of what you'll be doing: Highest level of finance leadership in a multi property Hotel Chain.Financial reporting and controls.Budgeting, forecasting and Management Information.Working Capital Management.Investment appraisal.Risk management.Obtaining and negotiating insurance policies and claims.Obtaining and servicing of bank loans.Filing of Taxes and taxation related reporting What you'll need: Computer literacy in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook,Opera System, ERP and or high-end financial softwares.Experience in Corporate Finance and Accounting.Must have in-depth working knowledge including latest edition of Uniform System of Accounts for Hotel and Loging Industry USALI.Must have through knowledge of updated IFRS and external reporting requirements.Fully knowledgeable on Internal Control for Hotels and Company’s Corporate and Operational Finance.Experience in preparing and be responsible for legal statutory reporting of a Company to Net Income not just Hotel’s GOP.Solid business acumen and the ability to interpret and market data and create executable plans to manage cost and profitability.Demonstrate the analytical ability to grasp the financial data and its impact to the company.Experience and ability to develop, translate and implement strategic plans, think long-term and “big picture,” and integrate complexities in problem solving and decision making.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Positive, motivating attitude ensuring a productive environment.Strong Leadership ability: motivate, promote/embrace change, lead others to success.Ability to drive change effectively.Proven track of ethical leadership and integrity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to address the critical few priorities while not losing perspective on the secondary and lower level issues.
