Job Title: Workshop AssistantLocation: Ellesmere PortSalary: Depending on experienceJob type: Full Time, 8.30 : 5.00 Monday to Thursday 8.30 : 4.00 Friday.With over 30 years of experience and expertise as manufacturers and suppliers to the electrical industry, Starling Enterprises can provide solutions to your electrical problems.As construction and industrial specialists, we can provide you with a wide variety of goods to suit all your requirements.The Candidate: Must be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment. The candidate should be methodical, carrying out and supervising the throughput of a workshop which services industrial and contract customers.-Minimum 2 year experience of working in a fast paced environment-Effective organisational skills-Attention to detail and a high standard of work-Proven ability and aptitude as an electrician-Previously worked on distribution units and switch gear and knowledge of the construction industry is also desirable.-NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation : or equivalent-BS7671 17th/18th Edition Test and Inspection 2391 or equivalent is desirableKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities:-Assembling and testing a wide range of electrical plant such as MDA and various switchgear and site temporary electrical products.-Technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to work on own proficiently and carry out fault finding and service without supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.-Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.Benefits:-25 days holiday plus bank holidays.-Finish at 4 on a Friday.
