Management Accountant Trafford Park, Manchester Monday-Friday 40 Hours £45,000 - £50,000 The CandidatePrevious experience working as a Management AccountantFully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMAExperience of working in a fast-paced environmentExperience in people management and managing a small teamVAT compliance rulesLegal responsibilities/accountabilities when processing accounts The RolePrepare & review the management accounts, including variance analysis v’s prior year and budgetCompile the group reporting & local management information packs for review with the Director of Finance by 15th submission to group 20thReconcile and take any corrective actions for all Balance sheet control accountsEnsure that the tasks per the Accounts check list are performed to the required timetable and take corrective actions where they are notMaintain accurate chart of accountsVAT - Completion and submission of the 3 VAT returns by the required deadline. Ensuring that these submissions reconcile to the Balance sheet control accounts and that the accuracy of the return is validatedP11D’s – Complete, submit and payment annually move to payroll by 25/26P32 – Balancing the P32 to the HMRC dashboard, escalating any variances with stakeholders and ensuring funds are sent within the required deadlinesGovernment gateway – Manage the Government gateway and deal with/HMRC queriesEnsure NEST and other pension submission are made timely and accurateEnsure that the weekly and monthly margin reports are issued on time and are accurateReconcile the margin reports to the month end financial statements and highlight issues to the Operations teamMonthly P&L reviews with the Department headsCustomer profitability reviewEnsure that the customer agreements translate into the accounts correctly e.g. Rebates, spend allocation against rebatesNational Statistics reporting Ad hocPrepare Monthly/Qtly Forecasts & Annual Budgets in conjunction with the D of FPrepare Short- and long-term cash flow forecastsAssist in the year end audit for areas covered by the role.
