Transport & Warehouse Co-Ordinator Dover Area, Kent£30,000 +++DoEPermanent M-F 08:00 – 18:00, Sat 08:00 to 13:00 every 3rd weekBenefits:Learn from a team of experienced and knowledgeable peopleWork for a stable, well-run organisationFree on-site parkingModern, well-equipped officesDiscounted FuelDiscounted MOTDiscounted ServiceDUE TO THE LOCATION OF THIS VACANCY OWN TRANSPORT IS NEEDEDAre you looking to learn about the haulage and freight industry in hands on environment Do you love trucks, motor vehicles, forklifts and HGVs and all things mechanicalDo you want to work for a financially stable and established businessIf so, you could be just the person to work as the Transport & Warehouse Co-Ordinator based at my client’s substantial transport & warehouse facility just outside Dover.The role includes:Managing excellent communication with driving staff operations staff who are based at a different locationAssisting and supervising shipments in and out of the WarehouseConducting a daily stocktake of shipments in the WarehouseCollating and distributing a daily Trailer location reportParticipating in the weekend rota shared with the Transport Manager and Warehouse ManagerAssisting with the preparation of drivers’ timesheets and expenses.Assisting with the preparation of Tachograph reports for Drivers to complete.Daily interaction with on-site Workshop to ensure that Inspections and Repairs are completed and defects efficiently dealt withVehicle inspections, reviewing damage / defect reportsAssisting with the preparation of “offload” sheets for Warehouse staff and Drivers Worksheet.Deputising for the Transport Manager and Warehouse / Site Manager as and when requiredYou’ll need:Excellent communication skills Written & VerbalA confident personalityA professional positive and helpful attitude to work colleagues and Suppliers.IT literacyExperience of working for a Transport company or warehouse would be idealTo be presentable, energetic and enthusiasticStrong organisational skills with an excellent memoryA forklift licence would be preferableThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-run business.
