We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join their dynamic team in London. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and effective use of our data assets. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the entire data life cycle, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations from the initial data source to delivery to the end client.Help define and implement the organisation’s data and analytics strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives.Design and establish a robust data governance framework, including processes and rules that underpin it.Work closely with various departments to analyse and collate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.Ensure all data handling practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly GDPR.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data governance.Gather and analyze data to deliver business insights through visualizations, commentary, advice, and recommendations, utilizing Excel, SQL, or Power BI.Coordinate with legal, compliance, Information Systems, Data Modelers, and Developers.Assist with internal and external data privacy and security audits. Experience required: Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.Strong understanding of GDPR and other data protection regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus.
