I am now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a company in Mauritius. FIDIC experience essential along with handling contractual matters, claims etc.THE ROLEI am seeking a Commercial Manager to join my client in Mauritius.You will work on large building construction projects with the first project being a large hotel resort.You will work on a range of hotels, offices and other projects using FIDIC contracts and handing all contractual matters including handling claims etc.THE COMPANYMy client is a successful firm of construction consultants with offices worldwide.THE CANDIDATEYou will be a Commercial Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar and you may be MRICS, MCIOB, or similarly qualified.You should be working either for a firm of construction consultants, claims consultants or main contractor.You will need to have experience of working on the construction of 5 star resorts and hotels of high value and ideally have gained some experience in either the Middle East or Asia with a background of training gained on projects in the U.K., E.U., South Africa, Australasia etc.You must have excellent communication skills and be keen to work supporting the project managers.You will need to have excellent experience of managing all contractual matters along with handling claims etc.You should have experience of using a range of construction contracts and ideally have some experience in the use of FIDIC.You will need at least ten year or more commercial management experience.Salary is negotiable according to your experience.
