Working out of Trehafod, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and public access areas at a National Park. Summary of Tasks & Responsibilities: Act as the responsible maintenance officer for the park ensuring that the premises are secure, safe and maintained to required standardsBe responsible for Health and Safety on site, and main point of contact for contractors and ground staffAct as the responsible maintenance for all equipment, machinery and fixtures in the parkAttend to cleaning and maintenance tasks in compliance with schedules and frequenciesReport Emergencies, repairs and any incidents of vandalismAssisting with setting up for events taking place at the parkManage bin areas including disinfect, rotate position for collection, deep clean etc.Act as the Key holder for buildings on the parkEnsure car parks are managed efficiently and effectivelyResponsibility for the storage of and use of chemicals, in line with COSHH regulationsbe responsible for regular building condition checks to identify maintenance issues and areas of risk relating to Health & Safety. Any reports to form the basis of site maintenance planningCarry out fire safety and fire alarm checksliaise with external contractorsCarry out maintenance work including carpentry jobs The ideal candidate for the role; Previous experience of cleaning and caretaking or similarGood customer service skills and can remain courteous and polite at all timesGood understanding of Carpentry and LegionellaHold a Full UK Driving LicenseFlexible to work weekends and on bank holidays Applicants will need to have an understanding of Health and Safety, be customer focused, with strong communication skills.
