One of the UK's leading companies in the West Midlands, specializing in glazing, curtain walling and steel fabrication, is currently seeking a skilled Design Engineer Hybrid to join their team.Important Details: Type: PermanentSalary: £60,000 per yearLocation: Ideally based at West Brom but would consider hybrid WFH arrangement/working in Gloucester office.One of the UK's leading companies in the West Midlands, specializing in glazing, curtain walling and steel fabrication, is currently seeking a skilled Design Engineer Hybrid to join their team.Important Details: Type: PermanentSalary: £60,000 per yearLocation: Ideally based at West Brom but would consider hybrid WFH arrangement/working in Gloucester office. Duties: Produce project-specific 2D designs using AutoCAD software.Coordinate project drawings with the design team.Liaise with structural engineers for drawing checks.Generate fabrication schedules and material summaries for ordering.Identify changes and raise mid-project variations.Attend design coordination meetings and site surveys.Work in line with project programmes and timelines. Qualifications Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD 2D.Experience designing and scheduling curtain walls, windows, and doors.Familiarity with Kawneer or Metal Technologies systems preferred.Knowledge of LogiKal based software beneficial.Experience with Revit or similar modelling software advantageous.Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.Strong communication and customer service abilities.
