The Quays hotel is a scenic waterfront location near a vibrant city centre, it is the perfect location for any event or staycation. Shortly to have a fully refurbish bar & restaurant concept. Overlooking the cobbled quayside in the former industrial heartland of the city, The Quays Hotel Sheffield is a prominent venue on the historic Victoria Quays. You will be accountable for planning, organizing, and coordinating all resources and activities in the restaurant, including, setting targets, achieving goals, and controlling costs. You will also assist in recruiting, training, and coaching the restaurant team. You will report to the Regional Manager/Director and you will supervise all employees within your location. Our team is made up of committed, caring, and energetic individuals who make all of our brands and locations the great and diverse place to work in. What You'll Do You will prepare and interpret financial and operational reports, analyze data, and develop solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved You will help achieve controllable profit goals by monitoring controls and taking corrective action when needed You will plan and check work schedules You will conduct weekly meetings with the Management team You will set and achieve profit and loss targets You will coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts You will develop and coach hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest focused programs/activities to meet or exceed guest service standards You will develop Restaurant Supervisors and hourly employees through corporate training programs, individual development plans, and assignments You will perform other duties as required or assigned Who You Are You have 2-5 years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred You have understanding of people and staffing practices You are an effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing You have the agility to interpret and analyse financial statements You are a team player, collaborative and attentive You have excellent guest service and people skills You are self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively You must be able to legally work in UK (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit) SUMMATION: Submission of resume does not guarantee an interview or an actual transfer.
