2^nd Line IT Support Partner Hybrid working; from home, our super trendy office in Newcastle upon Tyne. Typical day as a 2nd Line Support Partner * Dealing with escalated IT issues, providing additional insights and support * Handling various tasks like managing new office openings, configuring phones or computers to ensure smooth operations. * Troubleshooting and managing a wide range of Microsoft applications such as Intune, Azure, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange. * Ensuring network connectivity across offices, and remotely troubleshooting any network issues that colleagues might face. * Participating in a variety of IS projects alongside other IS colleagues, adding some variety to the daily routine and gaining valuable experience. * Visiting Home Group offices (with some occasional national travel) for on-site troubleshooting when remote solutions are not feasible. You bring * Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with colleagues in both technical and non-technical terms, ensuring clear, timely communication. * Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft applications like Intune, Azure, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange, with an understanding of networking (Meraki and Cisco) and monitoring tools (LogicMonitor). * Strong problem-solving skills, experienced in providing IS solutions within an ITIL framework, and familiarity with a Service Desk environment, ideally holding an ITIL V4 Foundation Certificate. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced technical support role, handling various tasks and collaborating with 3rd party providers and suppliers. * A continuous improvement mindset, always looking to enhance knowledge, develop new skills, and propose solutions to improve processes and service delivery. * Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, a hands-on approach to tackling tech challenges, and adaptability to address issues head-on. Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review. Our team You’ll join our manager Neil who has been at Home Group a couple of years now, but still remembers what it’s like to join the team as a newbie. There are 10 in the team, and we have a wide set of knowledge and skills that mean we can support each other to get the job done. Our Service Team is a great stepping stone to develop your career within the wider Information Systems team and we’ll support you to progress and develop your career to grow with us. Job details * Working Monday to Friday, you’ll work a shift pattern between 7 am – 5.30 pm with a variety of weekly shifts between these times which will be early, mid, and late shifts. * We can be flexible and work with you to adapt shifts when you need that! * You'll usually work a week in the office, then one or two weeks at home. Over time, it averages to around 2 office days per week. * We can be flexible and work with you to adapt shifts etc if you need to on occasion. * To get out and about and support colleagues in our services and other offices, you’ll travel occasionally.
