The roleWe are looking for Data Processors with all levels of experience to join the Marine Site Characterisation MSC Client Deliverables team. As a Data Processor in the Marine Site Characterisation Client Deliverables team you will be reporting directly to Data Processing Team Leaders and the Data Processing Supervisor. You will predominantly be responsible for hydrographic data processing, with an element of GIS production and charting for the Marine Site Characterisation business line. With a focus on the generation of client deliverables you will have the opportunity to work in the office and offshore on our vessels. In addition, you will also have will the opportunity to support projects in our dedicated state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre, based in Aberdeen. You will be working closely with the team of Surveyors, Engineers, Geophysicists, CAD & GIS Specialists and Project Managers to ensure all survey equipment is working effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately. You will undertake processing of acquired survey data sets such as navigation and multibeam echo sounder acquired from Vessel, AUV and USV survey platforms. Ensuring processed data is suitable for charting, reporting and complies with the scope of work, and generating of survey data products compatible with GIS software. Who we’re looking for:You should have a higher education degree in hydrographic surveying or related geospatial or earth sciences subject. Ideally you should have previous experience in hydrographic surveying and experience with post processing software’s such as Caris HIPS & SIPS, Starfix Processing suite, QPS Software’s & ArcGIS.You will be willing to work offshore dependent on operational requirements.
