We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in London to assist with the appointment of a Fire Engineer , on a 6-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £30.22 - £38.98 per hour Hours Per Week: 15 Responsibilities: To assess external wall reports and fire risk assessments of all residential buildings over 11m Help train non-fire engineer colleagues, such as EHOs, Housing Officer and Support officers Where necessary assist with drafting schedules of work, notices, and orders for enforcement under Housing Act 2004 To be the lead fire safety expert for on-site inspections and accompany team of EHOs on HHSRS site visits. To give advice to members of the public, other council departments, council members and interested parties on fire safety matters either in person, by phone or through correspondence. Qualifications: Honours degree in fire engineering - related subject Member grade with IFE Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
