You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers This hospital offers high quality care to patients across a range of service lines including low secure, PICU, locked rehabilitation Personality Disorder and acute To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin As the Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse your key responsiblities include: Being a clear leader for the nursing team on the ward and managing shiftsDeputising for the Ward Manager providing cover and assisting with the day to day management of the ward and teamProviding high quality care and leading by example to junior staffDeveloping therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagementFollowing all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practiceContributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progressMentoring, supporting and supervising student nurses and other members of the teamPromoting professional development within the teamCarrying out sit coordination duties when required The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Experience in a supervisory roleAt least 3 years post registration experienceThe ability to assess and teach junior staffA proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage health & safety issuesThe drive to learn and developA commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice The successful Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £43,014 - £46,314 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
