The role would require someone with strong advocacy skills and someone willing to attend Family court hearings in Manchester.ROLE: Childcare SolicitorLOCATION: Oldham Council/HybridRate: £45 - £50 an hour UmbrellaContract Length: 6 Months ongoingResponsibilities: Handle complex caseloads from start to completion in childcare law.Provide advocacy at all levels of family courts, legal advice, and responsive legal services to clients in respect of childcare law and other aspects of law in relation to childrenRepresent Children Services in accordance with instructions in private and public law proceedingsProvide advice on the law and practice in relation to child protection, adoption, human rights, and any related proceedings involving vulnerable children About you: A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years PQEExperience of dealing with care proceedings within a local authority would be essential for this position.Good communication skills verbal and in-person.
