Service Care Solutions are currently working with a bustling local authority, based in Somerset, which is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team.Service Care Solutions are currently working with a bustling local authority, based in Somerset, which is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team.ROLE: Commercial Property LawyerLOCATION: Somerset – REMOTECONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months ongoing – 30 hours a weekRATE: £55-£60ph umbrella Key responsibilities of the Commercial Property Lawyer position Provide high-level legal and property-related advice to Members and senior officers covering property, housing and local government lawAct for the Council in the progression of complex property matters relating to the Council’s land holdings to include, without limitation, disposals and acquisitions; a variety of matters falling within the Housing Acts and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954; the devolution of Council property assets; disposals at an undervalue; overage provisions and options and the Council’s powers relating to the same.Work under pressure and to tight timescales to support the delivery of the Council’s priority capital receipts, revenue savings and statutory requirements.
