With a commitment to quality and innovation, they take pride in their skilled team and cutting-edge technology. As they continue to grow, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong understanding of AS9100 and FAIR. As Quality Engineer you will play a key role in overseeing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and continually develop robust quality plans and procedures for machined componentsInspect and verify parts across all stages of the manufacturing process for a variety of precision machined components in a variety of materialsConduct First Article Inspection Reporting FAIREnsure all parts produced are in line with drawing and specification requirementsManage and report on non-conformancesPerform Root Cause Analysis and resolution, ensuring correct rework of parts where appropriate, necessaryCollaborate with the wider team to ensure quality and production targetsManage customer returns, liaising and communicating with external customers to ensure positive relationships and resolution of non-conformanceAssist and report on monthly statisticsDrive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management systems Experience Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role ideally gained within a Precision Engineering and/or Aerospace manufacturing environmentStrong experience and understanding of AS9100Working knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports FAIR AS9102Conversant in the use of Mechanical Measurement Equipment verniers, micrometers, calipers gauges etc. and CMMKnowledge of performing first-off, stage and final inspectionConfident reading and interpreting engineering drawingsCapable of working independently and with minimal supervisionEffective communication skills and computer literacy, including strong Excel skillsExperience in the use of Problem Solving, Investigation and Control techniques 8D, 5Whys, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, PFMEA, SPC etcPrevious experience performing Quality Audits would be highly desirable
