Buyer required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with multiple worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff and is renowned for quality and innovative deliverables.The successful Buyer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.Buyer required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with multiple worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff and is renowned for quality and innovative deliverables.The successful Buyer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.Key Responsibilities of the Buyer will include: Manage a portfolio of commodities and suppliers, ensuring value for money and optimising supplier performance.Develop and represent the supply chain department with a nominated project team.Provide input and forecasts on supply relating to specific projectsIntroduce strategies to effectively manage current and future supply chainsConduct supplier evaluations including business reviews, supplier visits, contract and SLA reviews.Support business continuous improvement activitiesMaintain SAP and other databases are accurate at all times For the Buyer role, we are keen to receive CV’s from candidates who possess: Experience as a Buyer or other related roles within a technical manufacturing environmentSAP or Salesforce experienceAbility to negotiate skilfully with internal and external groupsExperience reading engineering drawingsCIPS/MCIPS preferred but not essential Salary & Benefits: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experienceFlexible working hours37.5 hours per week25 Days annual leave + Bank holidaysCompany pension contributions of up to 8 To apply for the Buyer role, please click “Apply Now” and attach an updated copy of your CV.
