We are working with Lampton Services, a company wholly owned by the Borough of Hounslow to deliver responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishments to the 16,000 council homes across Hounslow. It is an exciting time to join this forward-thinking organisation which is committed to maintaining excellent customer satisfaction rates whilst generating financial return to the council.A new Director of Repairs and Maintenance is needed to provide strategic leadership and operational management to the repairs and maintenance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality best in class service for all customers. With ambitious growth plans and a desire to be a market leader it is an ideal time to join a dynamic team that will offer the right candidate with opportunities to work on exciting and challenging projects. The role involves; Leading and managing the repairs and maintenance team Overseeing all responsive, planned, cyclical and day-to-day maintenance and void repairs Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practice Developing and implementing strategies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction, maintain property standards, and achieve value for money Working closely with the Executive team to drive forward improvements, ensuring KPIs are met and supporting the organisation's strategic objectives You will need: A relevant housing qualification and full membership of a relevant professional institution e.g. RICS, CIoH Substantial experience in social housing residential property maintenance and management, legal compliance and health and safety legislation Demonstrable commercial experience, expertise, and acumen Experience relevant to in house maintenance teams and Local Authority trading companies. Demonstrable experience leading a customer first team and processes. Experience of leading, motivating and managing multi-disciplinary teams Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver innovative solutions whilst maintaining continuity of services Experience of leading and motivating teams with a customer centric approach The desire, experience and ability to work independently and report to the executive team Ideally with experience of working in a similar for profit arm of a local authority or within a housing association Lampton Services is a division of the Lampton Group of companies, a Local Authority Trading Company wholly owned by the London Borough of Hounslow (LBH), providing a range of services, commissioned by LBH, for residents in the borough.
