We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of an ESOL Teacher , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Hours per week: 15 Rate of Pay: £19.59 - £25.96 per Hour Responsibilities: To teach your subject specialism on accredited and non-accredited programmes in neighbourhood learning centres, libraries, schools, childrens centres, small voluntary sector organisations or various sites in the community as agreed. To incorporate Digital Skills and Employability when designing and delivering courses in your subject area. To engage LBI residents through using embedding and contextualising, effective assessment tools, innovative course and lesson planning, production of resources and appropriate teaching techniques. To support the Team Leaders and Curriculum Managers to develop your subject area(s) to contribute to a curriculum that meets the needs of LBI residents and enables them to progress onto further education/ training or employment. To contribute to course, area and curriculum reviews to identify areas for improvement including retention, completion and achievement rates. Qualifications: Level 3 teaching qualification such as PTLLS or AET is acceptable when presented with relevant teaching and industry experience. Minimum level two literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE, CSE, GCE, Functional Skills or equivalent) Substantial adult teaching experience in community or FE college settings Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
