In this role, the Store Assistant will be working as part of a team to provide a professional, efficient and cost effective Stores, Supplies and Logistics service to the required standards and working in line with Health and Safety processes within a Warehouse.Service Care Solutions have a vacancy for a Store Assistant to join a client they are working with in Sheffield on a temporary contract.In this role, the Store Assistant will be working as part of a team to provide a professional, efficient and cost effective Stores, Supplies and Logistics service to the required standards and working in line with Health and Safety processes within a Warehouse.Main duties will consist of:- Issuing and receipt of MaterialsStores documentation checksStock checking and subsequent investigations into discrepanciesMonitoring of stock usage levelsProcessing of Stock Replenishment, Low value and collect OrdersExpediting Stock and Low Value OrdersEfficient organisation of Stores and Yard stock locations to acceptable standards and keep the stores and yard areas safe, clean and tidyElectronic Inputting of Stores documentationData checking of outputs from the Supplies systemErection of shelving and labelling of materialsWork with operational staff to define, install, manage and amend van stocks in order to meet day to day stock requirementsUndertake visual inspection of tools, equipment and may involve using plant and machinery including fork lift truckAssist in maintaining stores security at all times Other duties will involve Using IT equipment on a daily basis to ensure work is tracked and monitoredReport any accidents, incidents, hazards or unsafe practices in line with Health and Safety policiesOperate a FLT Counterbalance and Reach TruckDrive company vans in order to support in delivery of items We are seeking a candidate who is able to demonstrate the above while also having previous experience of working in a similar environment.You will be required to:- Hold a Full UK Driving License Have experience of using Technology Computers, Tablets, PDAs, Mobile Devices Experience of working in a Warehouse or Logistics position Have an understanding of Health and Safety processes Be flexible and versatile to support in other areas and work outside of normal working hours Able to use own initiative Hold FLT Certification Counterbalance and ReachWorking hours will be from 8am till 4pm Monday to FridayFor more details on this role and to apply, contact Prakash today by emailing XXXX@servicecare.org.uk or call 01772 XXXXXX.
