Job DescriptionService Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Child Licensing Officer with Bury CouncilBury Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.Key responsibilities To ensure that the system in place for recording, assessing and checking on the welfare of young people wishing to be in employment or modelling is effective in safeguarding them from harm, in compliance with Statutory legislationTo promote the system for processing licences for all applications relating to Child Employment and Entertainment in order to safeguard the best interests of the young person within the workplace setting, ensuring statutory requirements are being met.To ensure that all applications relating to employment or entertainment licences are processed in an efficient and timely mannerTo process Chaperone Licence applications and carry out the necessary checks before interviewing potential candidates and to advise them of their Legislative and Safeguarding responsibilitiesDeliver chaperoning/safeguarding training, together with neighbouring local authorities to ensure they are aware of the requirements of their role and responsibilitiesTo respond to all enquiries from schools, employers, agencies and the general public in relation to the licensing of children who wish to perform and/or pupils who wish to engage in employmentTo visit schools, employers and places of entertainment in order to promote key issues relating to this area of workTo visit the premises of employers and places of entertainment in order to investigate and respond to referrals of concernTo assist in the collection of evidence for any potential legal proceedings where breach of regulations is apparentTo develop and maintain links with any national body in relation to licensing of children, i.e., the child employment network and other departments and agencies involved in this work RequiredMust hold a Enhanced DBSMust hold similar experienceAPPLY NOW - Send your CV to John… XXXX@servicecare.org.ukWhy Service Care Solutions A Dedicated consultant specific to your area of work with up to date knowledge on markets and new positions.We operate nationwide working with both public and private domains.All Compliance paid for including DBS and Social Work registration.We operate 3 payrolls per weekBring your Job to us bonus of £250Refer a friend Bonus of £250
