Role The Presales Consultant plays a pivotal role in the sales process, acting as the technical expert who bridges the gap between the client’s needs and the solutions offered by the organization. They are responsible for understanding the client’s business challenges, gathering requirements, and crafting tailored solutions that demonstrate how the company’s products and services can add value. Presales Consultants collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals that address customer pain points. Key Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the sales team on proposals and pitches to secure new business opportunities. Attend client meetings with Account Managers, serving as the technical expert and trusted advisor. Develop and present business cases that support sales proposals and highlight the value of the company’s solutions. Work closely and collaboratively with customers to design and tailor effective solutions that meet their needs. Gather and capture detailed customer requirements to ensure the proposed solutions align with their goals. Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of proposals alongside the sales team to potential clients. Provide ongoing technical support to customers post-implementation, ensuring a smooth transition and continued success. Key Competencies Strategic and business acumen. Able to understand the value for the clients and ensure contract margins at the same time. Must be a subject matter expert with extensive software systems experience. Good understanding of Cloud solutions, CRM and Mobile Applications. Strong customer focus, creating and delivering win-win approaches. Relationship building – establishing trusted relationships quickly and maintaining long-term close relationships. Excellent written and spoken communication. Self-starter and able to work on own initiative. Results driven. Emotional IQ You will be able to read, understand and empathise with your client stakeholders. This enables you to know when to be more influential, and when to back off. Key Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical pre sales position into high technology environments.
