We are seeking an experienced Principal Bridge Engineer to join a growing team focused on high-impact bridge and civil engineering projects. This permanent position offers flexible working options in Dublin. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced technical input on bridge and civil engineering projects. Work with both existing and new bridges, covering all aspects of superstructure, substructure, and articulation. Engage in early project stages, including scoping, specifying surveys, inspections, and preliminary design. Perform detailed design tasks, including modeling, calculations, and drawing review. Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and contract documents. Conduct technical reviews, including category 3 checks and site representation. Act as a point of contact for clients, including local and national authorities, consultants, and contractors. Mentor junior team members toward professional qualification. Requirements Master's degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering. Chartered Engineer status with a recognized body (e.g., Engineers Ireland, ICE). 10+ years of experience in bridge engineering. Strong knowledge of bridge engineering software and design standards (e.g., Eurocodes, DMRB). Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and produce high-quality design outputs. Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Skills Experience with multidisciplinary projects, including highways, geotechnics, or rail.
