Property Coordinator Cheltenham and Gloucester Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) Pay £12.61 to £13.36 per hour (£24,664 to £26,123 per annum), dependent on skills and experience, and great benefits including Health Cash Plan Home, a place where you belong This is a great opportunity for a Property Coordinator to join our team here in Gloucestershire. As our Housing and Property expert, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation! Typical day as a Property Coordinator (Know as Housing Management Coordinator) * Our customers live in our accommodation based services, and we have a role in both our adult service, and young people service. Customers can be experiencing homelessness, mental health problems, drug or alcohol issues, or in our young people service may be transitioning from care or youth services. * Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies. * Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account. * Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court. * Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void flats within set timescales. * Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met. You bring * Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties * Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. * Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues * The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. * A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative. * Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review Our team You’ll join Michelle our Service Manager who’s been with us at Home Group for about a year, but has been within supported housing in the county for more years than she’d care to say! What her colleagues often don’t know about her is that prior to her housing career, Michelle used to be a seasonal DJ in Spain! You’ll also work alongside our ABS team who are super passionate about what we do, and there’s always plenty of colleagues to offer support or a cuppa if you need it. As we have a role available in both our young and adult services, you’ll be joining with another new colleague and learning the ropes together. Job details * Our Housing Management role core hours are 9am to 5pm but as we’re a 24 hour service your hours could be flexible within this, we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you. You’ll also be managing your own diary. * We have services in both Cheltenham and Gloucester so your base could be either, and you’ll visit the other properties in our patch through the week. If you’re offered our Adult ABS role, this will also include our Stroud properties. * You’re able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups. * To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage! It’s not a deal breaker for the right candidate if you’re able to manage your diary accordingly and use public transport and teamwork! * You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
